We are seeking motivated individuals with initiative, strong auditing and interpersonal skills to work in the boating and water sport mecca of the Caribbean. This cluster of islands provides sport enthusiasts with a tropical climate for a variety of activities including surfing as well as clear, endless oceans and trade winds to set sail to. It is conveniently situated so that other islands such as Puerto Rico are a short ferry ride away!

Our client, a big 4 firm in the British Virgin Islands, which is one of the most secure economies in the Caribbean, has an Audit Division which has a portfolio of clients including Hedge Funds, Insurance and Structured Finance/Alternative Investments.

Career prospects are unbelievable, owing to the exceptional growth within the firm. Promotion is possible within a year to Assistant Manager and within another year to Manager and there is a clear track to Partner.

Duties include:

• Audit Seniors who have the skills to work closely with managers and partners and be responsible for all aspects of the audit process, from planning through to completion.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Services experience is an advantage but not required due to extensive training that will be given.
• First class written and oral communication in English as well as excellent presentation skills to produce and review complex financial reports and proposals
• Exceptional people skills with the ability to work with clients and staff of all levels
• Outgoing, friendly personality
• Mature, self-motivated, well organized, hard working, enthusiastic and professional

Main Job Function:

This opportunity will allow you to gain significant practical US GAAP/SEC/SOX experience which will be supported by an extensive in-house training program.

Your role will surround the day-to-day audit and other assurance related services to a variety of clients. You will provide an efficient and professional level of service to the client within the guidelines set out by the Firm

Requirements:

• Exam qualified accountant - CA, ACA or ACCA.
• University qualification
• Experienced in Audit - ideally incorporating IFRS and US GAAP knowledge
• A strong ‘Auditor-in-charge’
• Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
