Health

No vaccinations or unusual health precautions are required to enter the Cayman Islands. Visitors should be cautious of the sun and are should use adequate sun block and limit their exposure, especially at midday and for the first few days of their vacation.

Grand Cayman has a good health service but it isn’t free. Visitors should make sure they have adequate health insurance before arriving.

A 24 hour ambulance service is available by calling 911 or 555.

Hospitals

George Town Hospital

The largest hospital in the Cayman Islands has surgical, maternity, paediatric, emergency and surgical units. A dental clinic, eye clinic and pharmacy are also found here. Due to the popularity of diving, the hospital also has a two-man decompression chamber.

Chrissie Tomlinson Memorial Hospital

This privately owned 18-bed hospital welcomes both visitors and residents.
