Geography
The Cayman Islands consist of Grand Cayman and its sister islands Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. They are located 500 miles south of Miami and 200 miles northwest of Jamaica.
Grand Cayman
Occupying 76 square miles Grand Cayman is the largest and most developed of the 3 islands. It is also the most populous and visited island.
Grand Cayman is divided into 5 administrative districts. From east to west they are:
- West Bay
- George Town
- Bodden Town
- North Side
- East End
Seven Mile Beach isn't an official district of Grand Cayman. It's the area bordering the beach that runs from George Town to West Bay.
Cayman Brac
Cayman Brac measures just over 14 square miles and has a population of around 1,900. Most visitors to the Brac are attracted by its nature (bird watching is particularly rewarding) and opportunities for diving.
Little Cayman
With around 100 residents privacy is one thing that can be guaranteed on Little Cayman. Fishing and diving are the island’s main attractions.
