This video by the Cayman Islands Government Information Services goes behind the scenes at Radio Cayman, a community radio station owned and run by the Cayman Islands Government.
It examines the roles of the staff and presenters, the history of the radio station, programming schedules, technology, and the fact that it broadcasts without government inference.
Radio Cayman has 2 stations:
• Radio Cayman 1 – 89.9 FM in Grand Cayman – strong focus on news and community affairs, broadcasts BBC programming from midnight until 6 am
• Breeze FM (formerly known as Radio Cayman 2) -- 105.3 FM in Grand Cayman – music-orientated station
Both stations are run on a semi-commercial basis and offer advertising.
The Green Moray Eel (Gymnothorax funebris) is actually brown. Protective yellow mucus covering its body, combined with its brown body, gives it a green colour.
Morays have a reputation as vicious creatures, but will actually only attack humans to defend themselves.
The Green Moray Eel is carnivorous and feeds on other fish, molluscs, and crustaceans. It is a sedentary predator and will normally wait for food, rather than hunt (although at Stingray City, the Green Moral Eel may seek out divers with food).
