Black Pearl Skate and Surf Park

The Black Pearl Skate and Surf Park is one of Grand Cayman’s newest tourist attractions and was opened in 2005 by world champion skateboarder Tony Hawk.

Skate Park

Measuring over 52,000 square feet, the skate park is the largest concrete park in the world. All of the 3 courses (beginner, intermediate and advanced) feature both a flow and street course. Equipment and mandatory protective gear can be rented or purchased.

Surf Park

Black Pearl also boasts a Waveloch surf machine, essentially a self-contained standing wave with 1,280 square feet of riding area. The water flow can be pushed up to 150,000 gallons per minute enabling surfers to ride waves up to 11 foot high. Equipment and instruction is provided.

Parents not wishing to embarrass their children can dine at Castaway’s Grille. It has a large terrace overlooking the park.
